Fishing River Ken & Loch Ken - Dumfries and Galloway

The Ken Bridge Hotel has its own beat on the River Ken which is free to residents. Loch Ken is renowned for its fishing qualities, producing large nets of pike, perch, roach, dace and bream. There are good-sized wild brown trout in the river and the loch both of which are being re-stocked with salmon by the local angling association.

Apart from the Ken/Dee watercourse there are numerous hill lochs and private fisheries offering good sport to both game and course anglers.

Mossrodick, a beautiful hill loch with natural brownies and good sized stocked fish, contact Andrew Case on 01644 430015

Mossdale Loch, well stocked with trout but also provides coarse and pike fishing, contact John McCubbing on 01644 420448
